Conception and implementation of a multimedia tour of Waldkirch with a thematic focus on "organ building and history"
February until September 2020
Waldkirch is located northeast of Freiburg im Breisgau at the foot of the Kandel mountain. The organ town has been known worldwide for outstanding craftsmanship for more than 200 years and is still an international centre of organ building.
In order to expand the tourist offer in Waldkirch and to bring organ building closer, MAQNIFY was commissioned with the conception of a digital sound tour. The project was initiated by the town of Waldkirch.
Thanks to the innovative and contemporary offer, holiday guests, day trippers or even locals can now find out about historical contexts as well as the exciting history of the organ town at any time.
The digital tour leads through the town centre on 16 stations, so that it can be explored individually and independently.
he tour of Waldkirch with its thematic focus on "Organ Building and History" is characterised by its multimedia content. By means of pictures, videos, continuous text, spoken content and audio files with sound examples, the digital tour becomes a special experience.
