New design, new features
Being user-friendly is a top priority of the MAQNIFY© Guide, so we overhauled our MAQNIFY© CMS and launched the new user interface just a few days ago. Customers and visitors can look forward to an improved user experience.

The overall design has been optimised for smartphones, making using the interface on mobile devices a sleeker and more user-friendly experience. The new menu makes it easier to manually select the language for walking tours and share specific pages on social networks in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This simplifies use while safeguarding users’ privacy.
Visual improvements have been made to the home page, including a header picture in addition to the familiar picture gallery. The prominent ‘Start walking tour’ button makes it easier to access tours and circuits. The layout for content has also been tidied up: descriptive texts that exceed a specific length are truncated to make other modules more visible and reduce scrolling overall.
Use of the gallery on mobile devices has been enhanced by introducing simple swipe functionality, enabling users to effortlessly scroll through the gallery. Longer texts are automatically collapsed to improve visibility and simplify finding information.
The contact options for the individual POIs have been improved and made clearer: ‘Phone’, ‘Email’, ‘Website’ and ‘Navigation’ buttons will be displayed depending on the details supplied. In addition, if the opening hours have been included, the status ‘Open until …’ or ‘Open at …’ will be displayed directly in each POI’s header and preview fields.
Our map module has been overhauled and now includes more features: users can toggle between map and list view, display recommendations directly on the map and sort POIs according to preferred criteria. Also, depending on the zoom level, pins are grouped to avoid cluttering the map and different pin icons help identify the various categories displayed on the map.
The calendar of events has been updated to include more detailed information. The tile preview for events for which a starting time has been supplied will now include both a date and time. The event descriptions have been restructured to enable the storage and display of longer texts and now it is also possible to add single pictures or galleries to events.
The familiar ‘Good to know’ category has been replaced with a completely new module: flip tiles. These tiles, which can be flipped with a click, can be customised with text and/or pictures and provide an exciting opportunity to display fun facts or little puzzles for each POI. Any number of flip tiles can be set up for each POI. This means that existing walking tours can be regularly updated with current, interesting and fun elements, keeping the walking tours interesting for both new and repeat visitors.
