The digital city tour

For the city of Breisach, MAQNIFY has developed a circular walk with 14 stops through the old town of Breisach. In addition, three side trips in the immediate vicinity invite visitors to stay longer. The tour can be extended with a walk along the poetry path on the Eckartsberg, a visit to the Badischer Winzerkeller or a boat trip on the Rhine.

Breisach's calendar of events lists the annual highlights, such as the Breisach Wine Festival or the annual festival on the festival square at the Tullaturm, so that visitors and locals no longer miss an event.

Multimedia content

MAQNIFY also supported the creation of the multimedia content for the Breisach city tour. New interior and exterior shots were created for a large part of the stations on the digital tour. In addition, a short image clip with impressions of Breisach was compiled. Images and video were added to the digital city tour and will be used by the city of Breisach on its own tourism website.

Breisach international

To cater for international visitors, the tour has been created in several languages. In addition to a German and English version, the tour is also available in French, Spanish, Italian and - brand new since January 2017 - Chinese. The desired language is set automatically according to the preferred settings of the smartphone or tablet. In addition, it can also be changed manually on the website. The new Breisach WiFi at the market square facilitates access for international guests. Further hotspots in the city are to follow.

Scan and explore

To make it quick and easy for guests to get started on the digital circular route, the existing information boards in Breisach have been expanded to include QR codes that lead directly to further information on the digital circular route. A large sticker was also attached to the Breisach Touristik with the reference to the new digital offer.

For smartphone and tablet users who do not have a free app for scanning the QR code, the web address (URL) is also indicated on all stickers. This way, every visitor can quickly and easily access the digital offer in Breisach.
